Introducing WhaleFest and the World Whale Conference 2012

Hilton Brighton Metropole, Brighton, UK. Thursday 25th - Sunday 28th October 2012

2012 will be the most important year for whales and dolphins since the International Whaling Commission banned whaling way back in the 1980’s. The time for change is now....

...and you can play a major role in that change by joining Planet Whale and its partners for the World Whale Conference, WhaleFest, and the launch of a global campaign to save whales and dolphins!

On the 30th anniversary of the decision to ban whaling, which took place at the Brighton Hilton Metropole, UK, in 1982, the world’s whale and dolphin charities and whale watch businesses are returning to the same location to join forces on behalf of whales and dolphins again!

Hosted by the Hilton Brighton Metropole Hotel and Conference Centre, 'WhaleFest', the 'World Whale Conference' and 'World Whale & Dolphin Watch Operators Conference' will be the largest gathering of whale and dolphin charities, whale watch businesses, and the public that there has ever been.  A two day event leading up to WhaleFest, the conference will run from Thursday 25th to Friday 26th October 2012, and will discuss and agree actions in the following areas:
