Just a short ten minute drive from YVR Airport, Steveston Seabreeze Adventures has been offering Vancouver locals and international travellers whale watching tours since 2003. Our three well-appointed 40-foot custom whale watching cruisers can each carry up to 23 guests. Each of our 3 vessels are equipped with an on board bathroom as well as both indoor and outdoor viewing areas, perfect for taking photos. Whale watching in Vancouver is a great day trip for all ages. Our whale watching Vancouver excursions usually run 3 to 5 hours and we’ll provide you with coffee, bottled water and a granola bar on-board. You’re also welcome to bring a lunch, or ask us about catered lunches which we can order through a local deli at an additional cost.
In April and May we also offer sea lion tours. These are shorter 1 ½ hour trips and good for all ages, especially young ones who might have some difficulty with a longer whale watching trip. These are also accompanied by a professional naturalist and can be a great way to introduce the whole family to boat travel and marine life on our coast.
The marine animals we see can vary day to day and can include Orcas, Humpbacks, Minke whales or the occasional Grey Whale. We also look for seals, sea lions, and various marine mammals and seabirds. On board commentary is provided by a naturalist with in depth knowledge of our local ecosystem. As a member of the Vancouver whale watching sightings network we are proud to offer guests a 90%+ sightings success rate. If we don’t find any whales on your trip you can come back for free!
Reservations are recommended during peak times. Inquire about our free shuttle service. Join us today for a whale watching Vancouver excursion! Please visit our whale watching page for more info http://www.seabreezeadventures.ca/whale-watching-vancouver/.
