Harbour Breeze Cruises | Whale Watching

Our Whale Watching cruises include informative commentary, provided by an experienced staff and a biologist from the Aquarium of the Pacific. Also, in observing the Whales in their passage along the California Coast, we frequently spot dolphins darting back and forth, playing with the boat, and jumping in and out of the water.
During the Gray Whale season from December through mid-May our experienced staff will offer information about the characteristics of the Pacific Gray Whale and its annual migration from the Bering Sea in Alaska to the Scammon's Lagoon in Baja California, Mexico. During the Blue Whale season from June through December you can expect to be educated on the Blue Whale’s migration patterns, characteristics, and other interesting facts. Come join the fun and excitement of viewing one of nature's most incredible mammals, the Whale. Groups who have taken whale watching excursions with Harbor Breeze Cruises have found their experiences to be enjoyable and educational.

After a lifetime of wanting to go whale watching, I finally got to go whale watching on January 12 , 2012 and then again on February 4, 2012. Both were with Harbor Breeze Cruises out of Long Beach and both were such magical experiences. On the first cruise, we saw an extremely active pod of dolphins that followed the boat as well as a couple of fin whales. On the second cruise, not only did we see dolphins, but we saw two or three gray whales and five or so fin whales. The thing I like about Harbor Breeze Cruises is that staff from the Aquarium of the Pacific go along and educate people about the marine life, particularly about the dolphins and whales. We had such a good time that we're already planning another watch in a couple weeks. :)
