Ocean Ventures | Whale & Dolphin Watching

Educational and explorational trips off Durban to encounter whales and dolphins. We see dolphins year round and whales from May to November. The primary species are Indian Ocean Bottlenose dolphins and Humpback whales.

We operate a high speed vessel, small and manoevrable in order to cover the distance necessary to reach our 'Humpback Highway', 3-5km offshore, where hundreds of Humpback whales are cruising past to reach their respective feeding and breeding grounds. In addition to Humpback whales, we see bottlenose dolphins year round, many interesting seabirds, and enjoy the northern extent of the annula sardine migration and its associated predators every winter.
