The waters at the mouth of the Bay of Fundy from the ledges off Brier Island right up the Digby Neck are important feeding areas for many species of cetaceans (whales, dolphins, porpoises), seals and a wide variety of seabirds. Most common species seen are the Minke, humpback and fin whales, harbour porpoise and Atlantic white-sided dolphins. Right whales are frequently seen. Sperm, sei, and blue whales have also been spotted in the Bay of Fundy.

Mr Goodwin began his career as a whale-guide in Newfoundland where he spent five seasons. He was also involved in studying whales and releasing them from fishing nets in which they are frequently accidentally entrapped. Presently emphasizing education, Ocean Explorations will participate in various research efforts and will invite our guests to join in as well.
Not for the weak-hearted, Ocean Explorations are usually conducted in a large rigid hull inflatable, Zodiac™ or other brands, similar to those used by marine biologists, whale-watchers, and charter operations all over the world (even Antarctica). The maritimes' original ocean rafting whale/seabird tour!! It makes a cruise -- an adventure!!
