Grand Manan Whale & Seabird Research Station

We undertake research and education to promote conservation of the marine ecosystem of the Bay of Fundy. Begun by the late Dr. David Gaskin, the GMWSRS is dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge and its dissemination. Active research by a number of researchers, graduate students and interns is promoted in a natural history museum, website and publications. A registered charity in Canada, we provide housing, vessels and laboratory space to researchers working from the facility. Feeding ecology is emphasized in most research. Conservation issues related to marine animals are an important component.
