I would have no hesitation in recommending Blue Water cruises for your whale watching experience. The staff were friendly and helpful from the time we arrived at the pick-up point until we got back again some hours later. We spent three mornings out with them and enjoyed every minute. The crew members were a delight to be with and had eyes like hawks when it came to spotting whales and dolphins. In marked contrast to one or two of the other boats we saw, our boat was never crowded and more importantly the captain approached any whales we saw with great care and consideration for the animals. We were fortunate enough to see spinner dolphins and blue whales every day as well as a pod of short finned pilot whales on the third day. Some of the views we had were exceptional and if we ever return to Sri Lanka we would certainly go with this company again.
