8.    Or use your voucher at the industry expo and public festival, WhaleFest 2015  – where you can give a talk and join other partners in the Responsible Whale Watch Zone (date to be announced, Brighton UK, attended in 2012 by 6000 visitors and 100+ exhibitors).

9.    Support (and take part in) the annual industry ‘Responsible Whale Watch Awards’ – won in 2013 by Marine Discovery Penzance, UK, & in 2012 by Conscious Breath Adventures, Dominican Republic.

10.    Contribute your ‘case study’ to our influential annual industry publication – Report on Responsible Whale and Dolphin Watching.

11.    Accreditation – Help develop and launch a Global Accreditation Scheme for responsible whale and dolphin watching – the next big step for our industry!

Your investment as a member is:

1.    To support our best practice guidelines

2.    To aim for a minimum of 5 public reviews of your trips on the Planet Whale website in order to qualify for the 2014 Responsible Whale Watch Awards

3.    Membership payable either as an annual fee (single payment) or 10 monthly payments. To make it affordable for all we have a two level membership system: 

 


Level 1 - North America, Australia/NZ, Europe, Japan

Annual Fee: £850 (US$1400 or €1035)  Or 10 Monthly Payments: £99 (US$165 or €120) 

Level 2 - South America, Asia, Africa, Central America, Caribbean
Annual Fee: £400 (US$670 or €485)

 

*Recommend a new whale or dolphin watch operator to join Whale Watch International and reduce both your fees by £100 (US$165 or €120)

*Any Member that has contributed a case study on responsible whale watching becomes an Ambassador and may join the steering committee

*Note fees are paid to Planet Whale Ltd. 20% VAT tax will apply in some European countries

 

As a partner you will be able to build upon an already successful partnership involving 30 companies in 21 countries who have formed a steering committee and regional representatives to take our aims forward.
